Photos: Green grass and happy heifers

Over the past few weeks, I’ve been so busy finishing my last semester of college and finalizing wedding plans that I haven’t spent much time at my family’s cattle farm.

On my way back to school yesterday, I stopped by the farm with my camera to snap some photos of our heifers to use in a forage presentation for one of my classes.

It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t help but enjoy the sights of spring on the farm complete with the lush pastures and the playful cattle.

Even though I hadn’t been around in a while, the heifers still came right up to me and posed for some photos.

Who says all the happy cows are in California? This heifer looks quite content in her Kentucky pasture!

I turned around after taking a photo and found these guys right behind me! Surprise!

Nothing says spring quite like lush green grass and happy heifers, right?

Very cool photos, Celeste! Thanks for sharing.
One has to be greateful for spring. I am in northwest SD and we are expecting another 1-3″ of snow and terrible wind tomorrow. We had round 6-7″ of the white stuff last Tuesday. We just need some sunshine!
