The Farm Girl thinks Christmas!

I normally don’t let Christmas cross my mind until Black Friday.

The busier my freelance business gets, however, the more I’m discovering that communications folks have to start thinking Christmas well in advance.

I’m working on a Christmas advertising campaign in one of my classes, picking up props for Christmas photo shoots and already writing stories about post-Christmas conventions.

Are you thinking Christmas yet?

Have you thought about Christmas photos? Cards? Photo gifts?

Starting today, I’m accepting reservations for Christmas photo shoots in Western Kentucky.

This doesn’t necessarily mean pose in front of the Christmas tree.

If that’s what you want that’s fine with me, but don’t be afraid to step outside the box.

You can do classic family photos, gift wrap your toddler or throw a Santa hat on your dog.

Sessions will take place at the location of your choice: your home, barn, front porch, local park or whatever.

Have you seen an photo idea that you loved? Send me a copy and we’ll try to recreate it with your individual twist!

The possibilities are endless.

Each shoot will come with a CD of edited images. In the spirit of Christmas, I’ll throw in a release with the proof CD so you can print as many copies as you want or order Christmas photo cards at your one hour shop of choice.

For $100 you get a 1 hour session with as many settings, outfits and poses as you can fit in.

To reserve your session, email me at

Interested in custom designed Christmas cards or photo collages? Want to order custom designed calendars or photobooks for the perfect gift? Ask for rates on those too!
